The book fair is coming soon! This year’s theme for the Spring Book Fair is: Paws for Books: Come. Stay. Read a Great Tale! Readers will find purr-fect books and have a dog-gone good time at this season’s Book Fair!

The Fair will be open before school and after school during our short day schedule. There will also be a Family Night on Wednesday, March 21.

We need lots of parent volunteers of all kinds in order to have a successful Fair. Not just working cash registers, but shelf stackers, backpack monitors, book finder assistants, etc. We hope you will share your time and join us as we bring another exciting reading event to our school.

Why It Is Critical To Support The Book Fair

Although the PTA/PTO has always paid for the librarian’s salary, beginning in 2011, the PTA was asked to supply all of the funds for items that are essential to keeping the library up-to-date and maintained:

• purchase new books
• magazine subscriptions
• repair and/or replace damaged books.

So, as you are shopping at the Book Fair, remember that a percentage of all proceeds will go towards the general PTO fund that will provide the resources for upkeep and maintenance of our library thus, ensuring the best learning environment for our students.
