Annual Fund

A letter from our Annual Fund Chair

August 2021

Dear Crocker Riverside Families,

The Crocker/Riverside Annual Fund continues to be the primary way to support our school by giving Crocker/Riverside the flexibility to use unrestricted funds to address our most pressing needs. The 2021-2022 Annual Fund goal is to raise $25,000 with 100% participation from Crocker/Riverside families.

Growing our Annual Fund each year allows us to thrive and achieve greater financial stability. The Annual Fund directly supports academic, enrichment programs, extracurricular, equipment and software upgrades, facility improvements, strategic planning.

This year, we are introducing Resilience 2021-2022: Our Annual Fund Campaign for a Remarkable School Year.

RESILIENCE 2021-2022

In the face of extraordinary challenges, the Crocker/Riverside community has shown amazing resilience, adapting to provide our children with a safe, healthy return to campus.

Every student benefits from the Annual Fund. This year, we are asking each family to support the Resilience 2021-2022 C/R Annual Fund with a goal of 100% participation in order to ensure our vibrant community will come through this crisis stronger than ever.

What is the Crocker/Riverside Annual Fund?

The Crocker/Riverside Annual Fund is our yearly appeal for contributions that support the rich and diverse learning environment that Crocker/Riversides provides.

Gifts to the Crocker/Riverside Annual Fund impact every student, every day by allowing the school to:

  • Provide a world-class curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Support, develop, and retain or Enrichment Programs such as Art, Science, Garden, and Music.
  • Support and create a highly sought-after language program
  • Supports our Library, retains our Librarian, purchases new books, innovative technology, sports equipment, and more!

What is the difference between the Annual Fund and Crocker/Riverside’s traditional events?

All are important community events for our school! Whereas our Spring Auction and Jog-A-Thon helps us launch new initiatives at our School, The Crocker/Riverside Annual Fund helps make those initiatives sustainable year to year;

What impact will my small gift have?
Every gift, regardless of size, is important and appreciated and brings us closer to reaching our fundraising goal. Gifts of any size inspire more people to give; they are a vote of confidence in our school and our community.

What is a matching gift?
Many companies will match charitable contributions by their employees. The company helps to support worthy causes and the employee can maximize the amount donated to the charity. Many Crocker/Riverside parents work for matching gift companies—please check with your human resources department or your employer to see if they will match your gift. If your gift is matched by your employer, the matched amount will be counted towards your total giving and acknowledged as such in the Annual Report.

Crocker/Riverside PTO is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. For tax purposes, our tax identification number is 82-1722765. Your gifts may be deductible for income tax purposes. Please consult a qualified tax professional for more information.

Thank you for your support of Crocker/Riverside.
