Dear Crocker Riverside Families,
I look to start each week by reading positive stories. Whether it’s information about “Draw with Stacey”, the great work our teachers are doing to support online teaching, a local business creating curbside pick-up for goods or take-out, or fun photos of our kids learning at home or celebrating their teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week. It is these things that motivate me and make me proud to be a member of Crocker Riverside.
In these uncertain times, Crocker Riverside is committed to supporting our students, families, teachers, and staff. Our Principal, staff, and PTO are continuously monitoring this ever-changing situation, actively reassessing our budgets for programs such as music, art, science, garden, and languages, and evaluating the best way to make our school the best it can be.
On behalf of Crocker/Riverside, I want to thank all our parents and volunteers. We rely on our volunteers to provide support in everything we do. Despite not being able to see our dedicated students and families currently, we still want to celebrate and recognize you and say THANK YOU!
As you may know, canceling our Spring Social – a major fundraiser that we depend on to help support our school – was not a decision we came to lightly, but it was critical that we do our part in helping ensure our school community stays as safe as possible. Unfortunately, the school’s needs have increased due to Coronavirus and event cancellations. The Spring Auction typically represents about one-third of our annual fundraising budget. While we are optimistic about hosting and outstanding event in the Fall, there remains substantial uncertainty about next year’s budget.
Taking to heart the changes, hardships, and uncertainties that all our Crocker/Riverside families are facing, we are asking for help to make our efforts go further. If you are in a position to help Crocker/Riverside financially, we are asking for your help in maintaining funding for school supplies, technology, field trips, reading programs, Music, Art, and the myriad of other items big and small the PTO helps support. If you are able, please consider donating to the Annual Fund.
Thank you in advance for your contribution.

Last year, thanks to our incredible community, we reached record breaking participation across our K-6th School! This year together, we can break records, work together in inspiring ways and raise over $30,000 for our School.
Now that’s exciting!
Why is participating in the Crocker/Riverside Annual Fund is so important?
Giving helps us thrive by:
- Sustaining our exceptional curriculum for students to meet their intellectual potential.
Giving drives our vision for the future by:
- Inspiring lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthening our community
- Preparing and motivating our students for a rapidly changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills, a global perspective, and a respect for core values of honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and compassion.
Giving is who we are:
- Our tradition of giving started 45 years ago with many of our community being proud alumni.
- That tradition continues today with 100% PTO and Faculty supporting our School
- Creating partnerships with our parents, staff, and community to create an environment where students are empowered to discover their strengths and to achieve their maximum potential.
For all of our learning—for all of Crocker/Riverside’s indelible sense of place—it is the people of this community who have shaped and transformed our lives. Grounded in the strength of this community, we have always joined together.
Be a part of our 100%!
