Fall Running Club – In the fall, we focus on running form, pacing, and growing the love of running as a great fitness activity. We work on gradual mileage increases throughout the fall to prepare them for the approx. 2.62 mile MaraFUN Run on December 6th (associated with the California International Marathon (CMI)). We have some great games and activities for the fall to keep them moving, so sign them up and let them burn some energy.

Training – Training sessions are coached by parent volunteers on school grounds and overseen by the Club’s Coach’s: Bruce, David,  and Karin. All sessions include warm-up, running/jumping, skills and agility activities, and stretching. Some athletes run, other walk, but the all move and have fun.

Volunteers Needed – If you are one of those parents who want kids to exercise more, here is how you can help: We need coaches for all grades. If you can walk and talk, you can coach running club. It is a great way to set an example for our student athletes, have some fun, and spend some extra time with you kids. It doesn’t involve too much time, but makes a huge impact on the kids and allows us to continue the program. And if you coach, your kids participate for free. Contact us if you are interested.

Registration: Register your children for the Club at Online registration only. At the top, under “event,” enter: “Crocker Riverside Running Club” and the program should lead you from there.

Space is limited to the first 75 athletes until we secure our volunteer coaching team. Act fast! You know how to fix the limited space problem… volunteer!
